Adult Bible Studies

St. Peter's motto is "Loving People Serving the World." A great way to proclaim Christ as our Lord and Savior to others, is to have a close personal relationship with Christ. We believe studying the bible is a steppingstone to a person's relationship with Christ. The bible studies offered at St. Peter are biblically based and led by trusted support staff. There is a class for everyone! Join us!

What Is The Lord’s Garden Network?
It is a community of gardens instead of a community garden. We see members working their own garden spread throughout the larger Schaumburg area.
Who are we looking for? To start with, members of our own church who either have had their own garden or still do have one. We are intending to build a “network” of experienced gardeners with a wealth of accumulated learned knowledge.
We are also looking for those who would like to start a garden, or improve their own knowledge and be able to make wise choices and decisions about their own garden. And we are looking for those who don’t have enough space to have their own garden but would like to learn and help others who might have a garden but aren’t able to work it by themselves.
Is this just for St. Peter members? Only to start. As we grow, we would want members to invite their neighbors, friends or family to come to our regularly scheduled meetings to learn and grow with us.
What are our goals? To help us all realize that maybe, just maybe, the God of All Creation might have a higher purpose in mind for us with our gardens. Has your harvest ever been so blessed that you didn’t know what to do with the excess? Did you try to save it or use it before it went bad? How much did you reluctantly throw out?
We believe that the Lord blesses us so that we can bless those around us, and there still be plenty left over to meet all our own needs. In that way, working in The Lord’s Garden right in our own backyards is a way to reach out and share those blessings from Him with our neighbors, friends and family. When we share what the Lord has blessed us with we are showing how good God is. When we tell others that He is so good, we are declaring Him to be the One we believe in. When we confess that we can plant, but only He is the One who can make things grow, we give Him the credit that He deserves.
And how difficult is it to ask them at that time, “Is there anything that we can pray for them about?” Then we shift from being stewards of The Lord’s Garden, to being caretakers of His people. Reaching out to our neighbors around us is showing them that we believe in the Lord of All Creation and the love that He has for all His children. Inviting them into our network reveals us as His stewards. We are the Lord’s gardeners, producing blessings for those around us.
Come, see and hear as we start January 22, 2026 at 2pm (During Young at Heart) or 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. And may the Lord bless your day!
