Brothers & Sisters in Christ;
There are many roles that members of a Christian church fill. It is an honor to serve Christ and His Church with my talents as well. This is what has led me to the music ministry and now the Wellness Ministry. This venue will provide wellness information, resources, and sources of support. God has given us all a precious gift of life and the Wellness Ministry recognizes our whole person's health: body, mind, and spirit.
I have been a registered nurse for 27 years. Currently, I am the Director of Nursing at Carthage College’s Baccalaureate Nursing Program. My nursing practice specialty areas are adult health and community health. My teaching practice spans many areas, including nursing ethics, leadership, theology, and mission.
Mission and ministry are key to my life. I have acted as a team leader for 24 missions and a team member for 2 missions around the world. Local community service has included training and instruction for church caregiving groups. I have worked with county health department programs, and consulted on mission development. Currently, I am a volunteer with the Village of Schaumburg Medical Reserve Corps (MRC).
I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice in Leadership and Administration from Concordia University Wisconsin, a Master of Science degree in nursing education from Concordia University Wisconsin, and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Concordia University Chicago/West Suburban College of Nursing. I have completed certification as a Lay Minister /Parish Nurse at Concordia University, Wisconsin.
I look forward to the months ahead as we walk this wellness journey together as a church family.
Peace in Christ,
Nancy Reese DNP, RN, CNE
